    Capitalization & Dynamic Keyword

     Hi All,

When I use dynamic keyword insertion how do I control capitalization? Can I control it by doing the following {Keyword} or {KeyWord} or {KEYWORD} etc.

Can any one say about it?

    Thanks,

    Rathna

ADCenter does not have this feature implemented -

Note: Currently AdCenter will simply maintain the string structure i.e. If  you enter “Ipod” as a keyword, the string appears as is.

It's also true that you can't change the capitalization of a keyword once uploaded. Other than deleting and reloading the keyword, there is another option. You can copy the keyword into another parameter (Param2 is useful for this) using the Proper function of Excel that capitalizes the first letter of each word in your keyword phrase. Instead of inserting {keyword:default} into your ad copy (where default is a placeholder for your replacement value if the keyword is too long), insert {param2:keyword}. You'll then have the proper capitalization for your dynamic keyword insertion and you can still use {keyword:default} if you want to use lower case.

Remember that you need to use capitalization consistently thoughout your ad title and body copy or you're likely to be rejected for editorial issues.

Peter Becker brought to my attention a mistake in my directions, specifically "if the keyword is too long), insert {param2:keyword}" should actually read "insert {param2:default}." Thanks for the assist, Peter.

I was wondering the same thing but I'm confused by the responses.

    {Keyword} = Cat food

    {KeyWord} = Cat Food

    {KEYWORD} = CAT FOOD

Does changing the dynamic text control the keywords like that or not?

The simple answer is NO :) When you are using keyword insertion {keyword} in your adtitle and if any user is searching for "cat food". Then your adtilte will be replaced like the one what i mentioned below: eg){keyword} = cat food All the characters in the search term will be in "lower case" only. You can use placeholders(Param) to control the keywords.
