      I tried deleteing those files and uninstalling/reinstalling, but I still get the same error. Brian can you please help with this issue?

  I am still patiently awaiting a fix on this so I can actually use the tool and perhaps be a valuable part of the beta testing. If those of us interested in sharing information with the AdCenter team were actually able to access and use the tool, the beta may work out to eventually be a decent offering.

   

  Alpha - I'm having the *exact* same problems as you.  Install, stalls on ads and keywords.  Tried repeatedly to uninstall, program still stores my info.  

   John - Thanks for the file/folder locations. That worked to actually uninstall. But now I'm stalled again, just like Alpha.

  Hi John,

  One update I had received was the size of the account or how many accounts you are downloading the data from. There is a limitation of one million keywords total over all accounts. There is also a limit of a thounsand adgroup. I will follow up on the contacts I have and see if I can get some tighter numbers on these limitations.

  I don't think that is the issue, at least not with my case .

  1) I am able to download at the office, but not at home. Both are XP-based systems, one Pro, one Home.

  2) I have less than 5000 keywords

  I more strongly suspect a timing issue.

  Hi All,

  The latest update I have received is that you cannot download more than 1,000,000 keywords (including negative matches), 1000 ad groups, 1000 ads. If any one of the above is currently matched, Ace will provide an error and not complete the download. Current work around is to currently try to work with accounts that do not exceed any of the above criteria.

  If you are having this issue, please keep your Ace updated and attempt the download once again. As updates are applied weekly to the Ace platform, greater functionality will be made available . Also please ensure to use the Feedback link that you have been provided through the MS Connect site.

  Ok, I give up where/how do you download updates??

   I have version 4.00.06118.2 and I can't find a link anywhere in the program to check for updates.

  Actually the update is automatic. The UI will check to see if there is an update available and aply it if needed.

  Well just to update everyone, I am still only able to use this from work (and I have tried this many times over the past few weeks).

  I was very jazzed about the prospects of using this tool, but as far as I can tell none of my suggestions have been implemented. I feel like I am spending my time to help you build a product, but I am not seeing common courtesies for my efforts.

  So here's a couple of more suggestions for people who want to run a public beta:

  1) If you want people to participate provide feedback (such as "planned," "fixed," "under consideration," or even WAD).

  2) Post updates so we know when its worthwhile to do additional testing. "There was a new release today and the following issues were addressed."

  Thank you for your candid feedback. We appreciate the feedback and requests we've been getting from our Desktop beta participants and agree we can do a better job of both proactively sharing release updates with you and also respond to customers' feature requests with any status that we have available. I'll be working with the Desktop team to be more proactive on these fronts. One item the team is working on that you may find helpful is a list of "known issues" that we'll be keeping up-to-date. I will keep you posted on when we can have this available for you.

   Hi

  Also can not use the tool because of the same error. The account I was loading was not particularly big. The only time the desktop tool loaded the account is for a one group 6 kw account. I tried several machines, the latest (7th Aug update) but no luck so far. Any estimates on when it will be usable?

  Hi All,
  
  This issue and others should be resolved with the next release of the Ace desktop tool. Ace is currently being tested internally before they deploy the next version to all users. I do not have any release dates for the next release, however I have been told its going to be a great release!

   I am having the exact same issue.  The account I am working with has over 100K keywords and I get an error message during the Text Ad download phase.  If I try to Download Changes, I get the same thing.  Two other, smaller, accounts download just fine if the larger one is not included... then get wiped out if I do try to include it again.

   I'm glad this is on here.  I am also having the same issue.  I was able to download the smaller account, but not my larger one.  MSN used to have the same issue when I'd try to upload too many words at once.  And I'd split the uploads up into smaller sizes to work around it. Perhaps there could be a solution to only download certain text ads  and keywords at once?

   Oh also I noticed the recent updates dowload did work on my account where the full download of text ads did not work.  It says you can import using an acea file.  I sent a note to my rep to try to get this file.  I'm thinking that if I can get the Initial account data into the program that any updates should download fairly easily and any changes I make should upload easily since it won't be nearly as much data.  Anyone try this?
