Ads showed after signup, but not the next day

  Is this normal behavior because there's a review period or something?  None of my ads now show up on any pages, even for keyphrases where there is only one other advertiser.  According to the adCenter stats, I got 4 impressions yesterday with no clicks, which corresponds to the test searches I ran myself.  Nothing has been changed since yesterday, but now none of the keyphrases show ads on any page,  I budgeted $300/month and $5 per click, and when the ads did show, they were 3rd from the top.

   Am I missing something here?
