  Microsoft Analytics and StumbleUpon

  Hello, I was "stumbling up" one of my website yesterday, and view the Analytics report today. I realize that Microsoft Analytics doesn't recognize traffic that sent from StumbleUpon (it rather said that the visitors visit the website directly.) Will Microsoft Analytics team do something about this? Thank you.

  HI,

   I will forward you request on to our Engineering Team.  Do you know how Stumbleupon does it's references?  Does it strip your history, or mask your IP in any way?  I looked at the tool, and as it is a toolbar, so it may not be feasible for us to differentiate traffic that is generated by it.  If there is no specific tag or history that Stumble Upon adds to the history, there may not be a way for our Javascript to discover that it is a reference from the toolbar.

   Well, Google Analytics gave me this :

  http://stumbleupon.com/refer.php

  I'd just like to confirm what has been reported here is exactly what I'm seeing. In my Apache server log, I AM seeing the referrer string from Stumbleupon. It looks like http://www.stumbleupon.com/refer.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.antezeta.com%2Fblog%2Frip-ask-com%2F where url=xxx is the target parameter, i.e. page to which Stumbleupon sends the user.

  Thus, it appears that this shouldn't be too difficult to resolve, and may indicate other issues - or - stumbleupon.com has been inserted into a list of known search engines.. and the intent is that it should appear there in reports....
