With Microsoft Content Ads Beta (available in the U.S.), you can place content-targeted advertisements on relevant web pages across the Microsoft network and partner sites, including WSJ.com, FOX Sports, MSN Entertainment, RunnersWorld.com, and more. How do I enable Content Ads?
Content Ads are enabled by default when you create a new campaign or ad group. To see if your ad group includes Content Ads:
- Click on the ad group.
- Click Edit ad group settings.
- Under Select where your ads are distributed, verify that Content network is checked.
To add Content Ads to all or certain ad groups within a campaign:
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- On the Select a campaign page, click the campaign that contains the ad group(s) that you want to work with.
- Click the check box next to the ad group(s) you want to run on content-based webpages.
- Click Bulk Edit.
- Under Ad group settings, select Distribution to networks.
- Under Select where your ads are distributed, check the Content network check box.
- Click Apply.
Where can I manage and control Content Ads?
You can opt into Content Ads whenever you create a new campaign or ad group. Managing your bids and changing targeting options can take place at the ad group level or you can simply edit your bids:
How do I opt out of Content Ads?
To turn off Content Ads at the individual ad group level:
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- On the Select a campaign page, click the campaign that contains the ad group that you want to work with.
- On the Select an ad group page, click the ad group that you want to run on Live Search results pages only.
- On the Manage selected ad group page, click Edit ad group settings.
- Under Select where your ads are distributed, clear the Content network check box.
- Click Save.
To remove Content Ads from all or certain ad groups within a campaign:
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- On the Select a campaign page, click the campaign that contains the ad group(s) that you want to work with.
- Click the check box next to the ad groups that you want to run on Live Search results pages only.
- Click Bulk Edit.
- Under Ad group settings, select Distribution to networks.
- Under Select where your ads are distributed, un-check the Content network check box.
To turn off Content Ads at the campaign level:
- Click the Campaigns tab.
- Select the check box next to each campaign that you want to turn off content distribution for.
- Click Bulk edit.
- In the Campaign setting drop-down list, select Distribution to content network.
- Click Apply.
